Hillsborough Home

Our client grew up in this Hillsborough ranch-style house and returned to raise her own family there. We updated and expanded it to accommodate her growing family alongside her parents. It is designed to be a true multi-generational home with shared spaces as well as a private, independently-accessible suite for aging parents. Our floor plan created an easy connection to the rear yard deck and garden. Interior spaces were opened up, but kept distinct. In the gathering spaces, we brought in more natural light and redesigned the ceilings to provide more volume and drama.
