About DesignPad
Formed in 2005, DesignPad is a San Francisco Bay Area-based architecture firm that creates living spaces unique to clients’ life styles. Our designs capture the character, comfort and day-to-day narratives of clients. Each project is a deep collaboration between environment, client and design. Our work has been featured in Dwell, Metropolis, Interior Design and Design Bureau Magazine along with special features in Houzz and Porch.
Patrick Perez
Born in Brooklyn and raised in St. Louis, Patrick was determined to live in California. Receiving a Bachelor of Arts in History from Santa Clara University and a Masters in Architecture from the University of California at Berkeley, he started his career as an Architect in San Francisco. Working for both large and small boutique firms, he then set out on his own in 2004. His love of California living is something he tries to celebrate in each of his projects - working with clients to bring out and make most of the aspects that draw people to this region. Patrick enjoys learning new skills and making things with his hands. Outside of work he can often be found building or repairing things for his family around his home.
Amelia Driscoll
Amelia Driscoll is an interior designer who credits herself with creating functional and beautiful spaces that are unique to each client. She believes that each space should reflect the client and their individual needs. Amelia brings a breadth of experience to DesignPad having worked as a home stager, Sales Executive and Studio Proprietor at Design Within Reach, an interior designer for IKEA where she designed and implemented room vignettes, and as a Designer and Sales Executive with Pivot Interiors, a Herman Miller dealership. She has successfully designed and managed commercial, residential and hospitality projects.
Though a native of California, Amelia spent her childhood in Germany and Okinawa, Japan. She holds a degree in Design from the University of California at Davis. In her off time, she enjoys making crafts such as felt animals and block printed textiles, painting and is a budding wood turner.
Zoey
One of a litter of nine, Zoey is an easygoing Golden with a good eye for the perfect tennis ball and a comfortable spot to nap. Gregarious in nature, she will greet you with her tail wagging and often with a paw shake. Some days she can be found lounging around the office with her brother and fellow office pup, Tater; otherwise, she can be found wandering the trails of the Oakland hills.
